WALT - Write an argument

Many schools have a canteen but at Glen Innes School we don’t. I strongly believe that when having a canteen at school is a bad idea because most students won’t buy anything from the canteen which is a waste of time building a tuck shop and none of the students won’t take notice of it.

Glen Innes School shouldn’t have a canteen because students will continue on buying their lunch from the shop which is unhealthy and will hardly buy anything from the canteen at school. Another reason for this is that students won’t agree on buying healthy snacks and food from the school canteen and some may not like the food that's being sold.

Us students of GIS won’t be capable of having a canteen because the children or thieves might steal the food that has been provided for the other students. Our principal or teachers won’t have the money to open up a canteen for our school and if they do they will have to spend their money on building something for us students that we don’t want.

When opening up a canteen it will be a waste of time because seniors are old enough to make there own lunch at home. If we keep purchasing food from the canteen we will find ourselves asking our parents for more money.

Anyways I stand by today and agree that we shouldn’t open a canteen at our local school for many reasons. I hope that you understand where I am coming from and I am hoping you respect it.
